If you’re interested in Python, you might have already heard about PyCon, the annual conference for the Python community. The conference is a great chance to meet other Python programmers, learn new techniques, hear more about what is going on in the community, and show off interesting projects. You can find more details on the PyCon 2008 website.
I’ll be attending PyCon for the first time this year and I will be giving a presentation on a simple utility module that I wrote to make it easier to work with the Google Spreadsheets Data API. My session, entitled
“Use Google Spreadsheets API to create a database in the cloud,” will take place at 3:20 on Friday March 14th. I’ve really enjoyed using the Spreadsheets API and it provides a pretty good solution for storing and fetching small amounts of data online. I’m hoping that this topic will generate more ideas and creative ways that our Google Data APIs can be used. Registration closes soon so sign up if you can and I’ll see you in the windy city.
